How it Works
Submit your photo before the deadline
Participants can submit their photographs by no later Friday 30th November at 3:00pm CET.
An Entry fee of €10 is required for each photograph submitted in the categories of Nature, People, Abstract and Cities.
An Entry fee of €30 is required for each series submitted in the Storytelling category.
Review of Submissions
The Malta International Photo Award has a strong focus on delivering a quality jury of experts, so as to ensure that all entry participants' work is reviewed by the right people. The Jury will be reviewing all the entries, consulting among themselves, and selecting the top 25 images or collections (for storytelling) in each category.
Announcement of Prizes
Photography is a craft that must be compensated accordingly, so our prizes have been tailored to reflect this.
The winners in each category will be announced after the jury review has been concluded, and they will be notified through their personal account.
A public announcement will be made through our website on the 20th December 2018.
Optional Personal Evaluation
We aim to offer a clear and transparent evaluation process for interested participants, which will be delivered by one of the expert jury members. This is important to us, as we believe that every photographer should have the opportunity to learn and grow from the work they submit.
An Evaluation fee of €10 is required for each photograph submitted in the categories of Nature, People, Abstract and Cities.
An Evaluation fee of €30 is required for each series submitted in the Storytelling category.
Each evaluation will be provided by the Chairman of the Jury, Prof. Arne Hodalič, where he will give photographers an in-depth constructive feedback about the pictures.
